 As we get older, we pray for long life that is healthy and free of disability or disease. But due to aging, our body becomes weak and unhealthy this bring many difficulties to survive the rest of life. As we see our senior’s citizen, whose health gets weaker day by day they suffer from aches and pains, which causes frustration in their life. 

 Thus, it is essential that our senior citizens should live healthy life as they are our ideal and we should not allow them to spend their retirement days in bed and hospital. So for that one should take care of their diet, physical and mental health. These are the some most important factors, which should not be avoided.

Here are some tips, which may help you to be healthy and live a beautiful long life:



1.Balanced Nutrition  
  One should select a balanced nutrition which  contains high fiber food like whole grain breads, cereals, beans, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruits, and vitamin B and D is also very much essential. As Vitamin B 12 plays an important role for proper functioning of blood and nerves.   

2.Hydration
 Proper hydration will keep your body functioning efficiently and assist in digestion and preventing constipation. Therefore, our senior citizen should be hydrated by drinking water and water based beverages like soup, fruit juice, tea, coffee etc.

3.Exercise
 Exercise plays a vital role in senior citizens life as it reduces the risk for medical conditions like heart disease, arthritis, diabetes and osteoporosis and many more. Daily exercise is essential for senior citizens as it not only keeps the body strong but also reduces the risk of injury that is related to age like osteoporosis.

4.Avoid smoking
  Smoking is very much dangerous to our health. So it should be avoided. As it causes many serious health problems like Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, Respiratory Disease and many more.

5.Medical checkups
Regular Medical checkup is very much essential for senior citizen because it is only one source that will tell us about the health condition of our senior citizen.

6.Mental exercises
 Just as physical exercise, mental exercises also plays an important role in our body. Mental exercises are essential to control brain. As we get older, the function of brain decreases and the brain itself start shrink with age. So to overcome from this one should do mental exercise.
